XPS Type IV 25 PSI Board
GreenGuard Type IV 25 PSI Insulation Board is an ideal exterior insulation, meeting your needs for multiple applications. Its extruded polystyrene (XPS) construction provides superior moisture resistance. And since it does not absorb moisture, it retains its insulating properties over time. With an R-Value of 5.0 per inch of thickness, the board increases the energy efficiency of your structures. Plus it’s lightweight, easy to handle, and easy to cut with a knife. Use this insulation for below slab, cavity wall, and foundation applications. It meets and exceeds all Type IV and Type X specifications.
Cavity Wall
Moisture resistance and R-Value retention make GreenGuard XPS an excellent choice for exterior cavity wall applications. It provides a thermal break over steel studs and helps reduce the potential for condensation in block-backed cavity walls. Score board is 48'' wide sheets designed to snap into 16'', 24'', and 32'' widths for a convenient fit between brick ties in block-backed exterior cavity walls.

Stud Wall Continuous Insulation(Ci)
GreenGuard
® Type IV Insulation Board on the wall exterior creates a layer of continuous insulation (Ci) that improves energy efficiency by insulating the entire wall area and reducing thermal shorts though the studs. This exterior application moves the dew point outward to reduce the potential for moisture within the wall cavity. And, GreenGuard
® XPS insulation creates an additional barrier to moisture penetration from the wall exterior.
Foundation
Insulating the exterior of a foundation reduces energy loss and helps control moisture inside the basement. In addition, a layer of durable XPS on the basement exterior helps protect the waterproofing membrane from damage during backfilling. The moisture resistance and R-Value retention of XPS make it an excellent choice for foundation insulation.
